Smooth Jazzy Hip-Hop

Teaming up with old school legend Tape Mastah Steph of SUBCONTENTS 90’s hip hop fame, and general San Jose hip hop mainstay, SPLICED TAPE FORMATT slides in with a stern confidence reflective of the years spent producing some of the most relevant hip hop in the underground San Jose scene. Tracks like “MELLOW DRAMATIK” and the title track “SPLICED TAPE FORMATT” are a clear homage to their underground hip hop base but instead of hitting listeners over the head with mindless bravado, it’s laid across gently with TMS’ veteran beat production and Gamin’s lyrical finesse.
